Analysis of factors in strategic decision-making by directors of public and private HEIs

Abstract
In this article, an analysis of the variables that intervene in strategic decision-making in the institutions of higher learning of seven universities in the states of Querétaro and Guanajuato is done. The study combines organizational variables and manager variables. The results demonstrate a strong correlation between organizational objectives, ethical code, centralization, and the experience of the decision taker as well as the influence of their values.
