Resumen

lgunos estudios de las ciencias conductuales y de administración se han conducido, de manera explí cita o implícita bajo el enfoque de contingencia. En­ tre los más importantes están los realizados por Emeric Trist V el grupo lavistock, en Londres, que estudiaron la relación entre el sistema ambiental tec­ nológico y el sociofísico. Alvin Gouldner. que estu­ dió la burocracia bajo las ideas de Weber, de diferentes estilos de liderazgo entre viejos y jóvenes administradores. El estudio deJoan Woodward, tam­ bién relacionado con la tecnología y el tipo de es­ tructura usado por las organizaciones. El estudio teórico de Alfred D. Chandler referido a las estrate­ gias de estructura de diferentes grandes empresas de Estados Unidos, podemos agregar los estudios de Tom Burns, los de Cyert y Match; los de Herzberg. Vale señalar los estudios de P. Pigors y C. Myers, que por muchos años han utilizado el enfoque de admi­ nistración situacional en la administración de per­ sonal.
