The effect of globalization on state reform in Mexico, 1982-2004

Abstract
The main objective of this research is to make a theoretical reflection on the State oí México s Reform which begins in 1982 and it is deepened over the six-year term of Salinas President, continuing this public policy at the present six-year term. The research develops the thesis that the reform of the State is originated in the new model of accumulation that occurs in our country at the eighty, orienting the analysis in two dimensions: in the historical context and the present context, acquiring relevance at defining conceptually as the process of the changes occurs within the framework that occurred in the world-wide economy.
