IDEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES OF MEXICO TOWARDS 1990

Abstract
In general, a nation's economic goal is to improve the well-being of its population. This objective is clearly defined in Mexico's development plans. The recently approved Global Development Plan explicitly expresses the need to permanently increase sources of productive employment for the Mexican population and ensure that the majority has access to minimum standards of well-being in food, healthcare, social security, education, and housing, as an indispensable means of achieving a more equitable distribution of income.
