Abstract
Ludwig von Bertalanffy is the founder of systems theory, which has been considered a new paradigm of knowledge, as it attempts to unify the different sciences based on their (epistemological) isomorphisms. To achieve this unification, he operates with ontological and epistemological assumptions; therefore, it is not only a metascience, but also a philosophy.
