Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the relevant aspects handled in each country as unique elements that characterize them in the areas of:
Levels offered, objectives pursued, organizational forms, admission and graduation requirements, scholarships awarded to students, methods of faculty selection and classification, and evaluation, institutional classification and financing. Thus, the study presented is framed by description and comparison, aiming to provide a general overview of what is being done worldwide at the postgraduate level.
