Conditions, perspectives and challenges of linkage in postgraduate studies

Abstract

This paper aims to present some of the main challenges that graduate studies will face in their efforts to connect with the productive and service sectors over the next two decades.
To this end, the authors have drawn on the experiences gained in the social sciences and education graduate programs of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and those gleaned from the programs and projects of other institutions.
To integrate forecasts for two scenarios by the year 2010, they have used the results of an analysis of prospective studies in Mexico during the period 1987-1989, recently conducted by two of the authors.
