Urban public transport infrastructure in Mexico City and its relationship with public policies

Abstract

The Mexico City, it exhibits problems of social mobility, so much on the part of the particular drivers of cars, since of the users of the passengers' urban public transport (TUPP) to satisfy his needs of movement. Problem propitiated by the big traffic jam and by the deficit of infrastructure of the TUPP, to cover the demand of transport. To orientate the investigation proposes the following general aim it; to determine the factors that affect in the performance of the public policies in his relation with the infrastructure of the TUPP in the Mexico City, as an alternative of solution. And the following hypothesis; The Infrastructure of the TUPP in the Mexico City will depend on his relation, with the performance of the management of the public policies. For the development of this investigation a bibliographical investigation was realized, to select the investigations of border, his models of appraisal and it realized an analysis of the variables to design an instrument of evaluation Likert, which was validated and reliability by means of the statistics use and technologies of regression and correlation, using a representative sample of executives, employees, and users of the TUPP. And of statistical information of the secretaría of Transport and Vialidad (SETRAVI), of the Mexico City. One concluded that the management of the public policies, yes they present a significant relation that influences the infrastructure of the TUPP and explain it in 98%. Also one concluded that the factors that more strike are those of public expenditure, subsidies and tariff, due to his significant incident in the infrastructure of the TUPP.
